Monokino will release their brand new album "Fake Virtue" on Modern Sky China and Konkurrent Benelux labels simultaneously. Through a combination of indiepop, electrowave and synthpop, listeners are introduced to Monokino's sound from Amsterdam. Produced and mixed by Monolino and Jacco Gardner, Fake Virtue creates a feeling of familiarity in a newly discovered landscape, filled with their humor and passion for pop music. The post-production and mix makes the album unique and unexpectedly versatile.

Monokino will be touring through China during May 2013, highlighted by gigs at Strawberry Festival in Beijing and Shanghai. Monokino had been actively participating in China's growing music festivals, including performances at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, 2010 Beijing Strawberry Festival and 2008 China Pop Festival in Guangzhou.
