Believe Digital Ink Distribution Deal With Leading Indian Label Saregama
Saregama are to appoint a local expert in the UK to work closely with Believe to improve sales and revenues from digital

Independent distribution company Believe Digital announced the signing of one of India's largest and long established record labels Saregama India to their roster. The deal is for worldwide distribution for all services (excluding some local Indian services) and includes the whole Saregama catalogue. 

With the new partnership, Saregama are to appoint a local expert in the UK to work closely with Believe to improve sales and revenues from digital. Adarsh Gupta, Head of Music Business at Saregama India Ltd said: "This deal marks a new generation of focus towards the Indian Diasphora globally for Saregama. We are extremely happy to be collaborating with Believe Digital who are among the best in this Business. We have very ambitious plans along with Believe to take the Indian Music experience for our consumers to a unprecedented new level, through a whole array of initiatives."

Saregama India Ltd. is one of India's most respected companies in the Music and Entertainment space. With a history spanning more than a century, Saregama is the custodian of over half of all the music ever recorded in India, meaning it has the largest music archive - and catalogue - in the country. Formerly known as The Gramophone Company of India Ltd. and more popularly as HMV (His Master's Voice), Saregama was established as the first overseas Indian Branch of Electrical & Musical Industries Limited (EMI), London.
