Nasty 8-bit Zombie GUIGUISUISUI Begins 2015 Tour
The one man punk horror opera known as The GUIGUISUISUI show hitting the road in Australia and New Zealand, also returning to Malaysia and Indonesia
Beijing's resident 8-bit zombie GUIGUISUISUI played well over 100 shows during 2014, all over China, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia. Yet 2015 will see no end to the touring onslaught, with the one man punk horror opera known as The GUIGUISUISUI show hitting the road in Australia and New Zealand, also returning to Malaysia and Indonesia.
This latest tour will be bookmarked with shows in China, and there's no where more fitting to start and finish the tour than Beijing's own altar to the afterlife, Temple Bar! The tour kicked off on January 9 with The GUIGUISUISUI show joined by psych punk twosome Luvplastik and will conclude on March 7 with The GUIGUISUISUI Show's return being celebrated by math-prog rockers Nakoma -- providing GGSS survives!
In between GGSS will explore countless scenes across the countries he will travel. Keep up to date with the tour happenings via www.aweh.tv, where the undead one will be keeping a weekly tour journal. This tour will also see release of two new pieces of GGSS merchandise: the zine 'Blood Makes The Grass Grow', which recounts GGSS 2014 touring exploits, as well as hand designed 'gui' shirts with one of a kind postcard paintings by GGSS.
The GUIGUISUISUI Show combines blues, punk, rock, hip hop, noise, and 8-bit music in a one-man 21st century medicine show, consisting of zombie bluesman, GUIGUISUISUI, his master and tormenter King Necro, and his alter ego, the self absorded rap-rock demigod Lord Kamemameha. The show comes armed with more than a few unique twists, such as backing beats composed on a circuit bent Gameboy or else sampled from vintage video games, The Diddly Board (King Necro's one stringed skateboard guitar), and the audience inevitably being goaded into the trio's sinister alliance.
