Tou-JAM Presents Legendary DJ Scratchy
Join the tour DJ for the Clash on his first ever China tour in Shanghai on Friday, May 27th
Tou-JAM presents the globalista rock sounds of the legendary DJ Scratchy along with 3 great punk and metal bands. It's the punk spirit of '76 thrashing it's way to 2016, and going to be a rock & roll blast! It's all going down in Shanghai at Harley's Underground (265 Nandan Dong Lu), on Friday, May 27th, at 9:30 pm
Scratchy has an epic resume, and still very much active 40 years plus into his career. He was tour DJ for The Clash, Dr. Feelgood, and Gogol Bordello; house DJ at London punk club Dingwall's; and put out a compilation with reggae label Trojan.
This gig will focus on his global rock & roll sounds, featured on his radio show, "The Rock And The Roll of the World." Even if you've seen his reggae or R&B nights, this one will be completely unique!
Like a night at Dingwall's, where The Clash, The Damned, and The Slits played classic gigs, we'll have a night of live hard rock music, linked and followed by Scratchy Sounds laying down world rhythms.
The bands featured on this one will be City Weekend Shanghai's favorite band, art-punks Round Eye; all-star punk chick band Old Auntie; and new metal band Hitobashira.
Helping out Scratchy on the 1s and 2s will be "Shanghai's #2 DJ," DJ B.O.
Local barbers Doc Guthrie's has generously offered to do a giveaway.
