For the last four years, RudeGal has been making a name for
herself within the entertainment industry. Known to some as
a writer, a radio personality, a source for information, a
Dancehall Reggae guru, RudeGal has become a pool of
information and skills. Starting out in 1995 as a co-air
personality on KCSB with a fellow Reggae enthusiast, RudeGal
got her first taste mashing up the air waves.
Expanding into writing, RudeGal developed a column, "From Da
Yard" named after her own radio show aired locally in
Southern California. Not yet satisfied with the endeavors
made within the American Market for Dancehall Reggae,
RudeGal worked as an intern for a year at EMD - EMI, Capital
and Virgin's distribution office. Gaining an inner workings
of the music industry and steadily making contacts within
both the Hip Hop and Dancehall genre, RudeGal pursued on.
Today she is writing for magazines nation wide, mastering
both the production and hosting of her own radio show. Being
a hands on person with intercommunication skills that "woo"
many, RudeGal flexes her versatility the way a spider weaves
its web. Armed with a certificate of achievement in Web
Development she continues to move forward determined to
bring Dancehall Reggae up in the process.
Currently RudeGal hosts a radio show on KLAS 89.7FM in Los
Angeles and works PR for various projects and artists. Along
with being on the Black Hole Staff she is a contributing
writer to the following online publications: "Reggae
Nucleus," "Spectrum Entertainment Profile Magazine,"
"Mention News," "Cypher" and "Reggae Times in Jamaica."
