Ken Klar was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. He grew up writing songs and playing in Rock Bands that toured throughout Southern and Central California.
As a Songwriter and Managing Director of Must Have Music (BMI) Music, he has spent the last ten years, developing an extensive catalog of top quality original songs ranging from Adult Contemporary, Pop/R&B, Contemporary Christian, Pop-Rock and Country. His current catalog includes more than one hundred songs that have been placed with Independent Artists across the country.
A number of Internet sites reprint his articles on Songwriting consistently. As editor of "The Must Have Music News," a Web-based online E-zine carried at Egroups, he provides applicable career information to writers around the world.
Must Have Music also offers a wide range of production services and enjoys helping supply answers for artists and songwriters that are just getting started in the music business. Their Website is for singers, artists, songwriters & seasoned professionals. It includes articles, information and a few original music clips from the current catalog they represent.
A Charter member of the JPFolks Songwriting community as well as Broadcast Music International (BMI), National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS), Christian Copyright Licensing, Inc. (CCLI), and the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI). He currently resides in Santa Clarita, CA, located 25 miles north of the heart of Hollywood.
