Journalist/broadcaster/researcher Larry LeBlanc has been a leading figure in Canadian music for four decades.
In 2006, legendary BBC 2 DJ/historian Bob Harris described Larry in Maverick magazine as "the glue that holds the Canadian music industry together."
Canadian bureau chief of Billboard from 1991-2007, Larry was also the co-founder of the late Canadian music trade, The Record. He was the associate producer of the 1996 four-CD box set “Oh What A Feeling” and co-executive producer of its follow-up, “Oh What A Feeling 2” in 2001.
His byline has appeared in such publications as Rolling Stone, Guitar Player, and Maclean’s. He has been extensively quoted on music issues in hundreds of publications including Time and the New York Times.
He has been a regular music commentator on CTV’s “Canada A.M” for 35 years, and has been featured on numerous CBC-TV, CTV, YTV, MuchMusic, and Newsworld programs in Canada as well as VH-1, and EEntertainment in the U.S.; and BBC in the U.K.
He has also acted as a consultant for The Canadian Competition Bureau, The Canadian Association of Broadcasters, The Canadian Private Copying Collective, and the Neighbouring Rights Collective of Canada.
With his wife, radio promoter Anya Wilson, Larry operates the publishing firm Brycemoor Music handling Dave Gunning, Joel Kroeker, and Alana Levandoski.
