Cowboy Surfer, Seedless Records Archive of Articles
Hailing from the Santa Barbara/L.A. area, Cowboy Surfer released his debut
CD, Surf Saloon on Seedless Records. The CD which
features over forty-two minutes of in your face rock and roll with
socially and politically conscious lyrics is music about real people, by
real people and for real people. Cowboy Surfer lyrics have a
depth of meaning that can only be appreciated by taking the time to
read them. But for the full effect, it is suggested that you read them
while listening to the CD at an appropriate volume level.
Cowboy Surfer, Stu Shulman, is also the founder
and fearless leader of the mothership Seedless Records and handles
guitars and vocals. Stu is a veteran of the L.A. rock scene and has
been associated with bands such as Burning Sensations, Bonedaddies and
Urban Artillery, all KROQ bands of the eighties.
I was extensively involved recently in helping to raise $4 million in 4
months to Save the Bluffs in Carpinteria where I live, which is a sacred
Chumash Indian Historical area & the boundary of a protected Harbor Seal
Rookery.
