MusicNetAppoints A.D. 'Bud' Albers As Senior VP And Chief Technology Officer
MusicNet, the world's leading business-to-business digital music service provider, announced that it has appointed A.D. "Bud" Albers to the position of senior vice president and chief technology officer. In this role, Albers will be responsible for overseeing the Company's full range of technical operations, including program management, development, test and network operations. He will be based in the Company's Seattle office and report directly to Alan McGlade, CEO of MusicNet.
"We are very pleased to have Bud join our senior management team," said Alan McGlade. "Bud brings a wealth of technology management experience to MusicNet that should significantly enhance our operations as we continue to grow the company and expand the depth of our digital music services and breadth of distribution partners."
Albers joins MusicNet from Seattle-based Drugstore.com, where he served as the chief technology officer and was a key member of the organization's management team and responsible for all aspects of their technology, including design, development and operations. Prior to that, he spent several years as the chief technology pfficer for Getty Images, where he was responsible for leading a team of more than 300 professionals in the design, development and implementation of the world's largest distribution platform for commercial imagery and stock video footage.
