Taillight Announces Newest Addition To Director Roster
Nashville-based production company Taillight TV once again announces a new addition to their roster of directors. Director and filmmaker Chris Hicky joins Taillight TV with an already impressive resume of Country videos, including the recent Keith Urban "Making Memories of Us" and Deana Carter's "One Day at a Time."
A filmmaker at heart, Hicky grew up in the delta heat of Forrest City, Arkansas. He developed a love of black and white photography at a young age because of his grandfather's influence. This love of documenting stories and lives on film grew into a passion that led Hicky out west to pursue his ambitions. Hicky wrote and directed the successful indie short Blue Horses, which he filmed in his hometown. The film showcased at various festivals throughout the country, including the Oxford Film Festival, the Wine Country Film Festival and the Starz Denver International Film Festival.
Having already shot various EPK's for artists like Keith Urban, Deana Carter, Dierks Bentley, Jamie O'Neal and others, Hicky's reputation in Country music opened new doors for him. He was approached about directing the CMT special "In the Moment," a year in the life of Deana Carter as she tackled a new record and motherhood. Shot and directed by Hicky over many months, the special aired on CMT as one of the highest rated shows ever for the channel.
