Jazz At Lincoln Center Announces Board Members And Chief Financial Officer
Jazz at Lincoln Center, the not-for-profit organization dedicated to jazz, announced that Paul C. Schorr, IV and John P. Arnhold have joined the board of directors and that Freda Gimpel, CPA, has joined the organization as chief financial officer. Ms. Gimpel was most recently director of finance at the Metropolitan Opera Association, Inc.
Ms. Gimpel, who has 25 years experience in not-for-profit organizations and private companies, fills the CFO role. While at Metropolitan Opera Association from 2001-2004, she was responsible for the financial management of a multi-million dollar annual operating budget and endowment. Prior to that, she held the position of director of administration and finance at the Florida Grand Opera for six years and had previously held positions at the National Foundation for Advancement on the Arts and with Kass & Jaffe, CPAs, where she specialized in accounting for not-for-profit organizations.
Jazz at Lincoln Center also announced that the board of directors elected two new members. These directors are Paul C. Schorr, IV, managing partner of Citigroup Venture Capital, Ltd. and John P. Arnhold, chairman and chief executive officer of Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder Advisers, LLC. "We are excited with the addition of two new members to the Board of Jazz at Lincoln Center. Paul C. Schorr, IV and John P. Arnold bring outstanding skills and experience to our organization as well as a real commitment and devotion to this wonderful music," said Lisa Schiff, Chairman of the Board. "We welcome them on our very important journey of bringing jazz to people all over the world and especially to those who visit our new home, Frederick P. Rose Hall."
