Joe Borrino Promoted To Senior Vice President, Finance, Island Def Jam Music Group
Joe Borrino has been promoted to senior vice president of finance, Island Def Jam Music Group, it was announced jointly by Antonio "L.A." Reid, chairman of Island Def Jam Music Group, and Steve Bartels, president of Island Records.
In his new role, Mr. Borrino will function as a key member of IDJ's senior management team, providing financial insight to the office of the chairman as well as creative management. Mr. Borrino will assist in the maintenance of the company's organizational structure as IDJ continues to refine and develop its team of executives. His responsibilities will encompass all finance functions including planning, forecasting, reporting, deal analysis, human resources, information technology, office services and facilities. Mr. Borrino, who is based in New York, will report jointly to Mr. Reid and to Mr. Bartels.
Mr. Borrino has served as vice president of finance for the Island Def Jam Music Group since 2000. He joined the company in 1993 as senior financial analyst. Prior to that, he spent three years at the firm of Grant Thornton, Accountants and Business Advisors. Mr. Borrino attended St. John's University in New York, where he graduated with the bachelor of science degree in 1990. He earned his master of business administration degree from St. John's University in 1997. Mr. Borrino is a certified public accountant in New York State and a notary public.
