Warner Music Group Names George White, Senior Vice President, Strategy And Product Development
Warner Music Group Corp. announced that George White has been promoted to senior vice president, Strategy and Product Development. Formerly vice President of technology business development, White is based in New York and will continue to report to Alex Zubillaga, executive vice president, Digital Strategy and Business Development for WMG.
In his new capacity, White will help shape WMG's companywide effort to develop innovative new digital and physical products. White will also oversee WMG's internal global digital content development program. In addition, he will work closely with WMG's technology partners to create and introduce new distribution channels for music, including authorized peer-to-peer services, new mobile music applications, and music-based video games.
"With his lengthy label experience and his understanding of the interaction of music and new media, George is an ideal candidate to help Warner Music Group continue to create the most innovative and interactive music products," said Zubillaga.
