SNOCAP Names Peter Maloney Chief Financial Officer
SNOCAP, the first end-to-end provider of digital licensing and copyright management services for the digital music marketplace, announced the appointment of Peter Maloney, currently CFO of Keynote Systems, to become SNOCAP's first chief financial officer. Reporting to SNOCAP Chief Executive Officer Rusty Rueff, Maloney will oversee all of the company's financial operations, including financial planning, strategic development and office of the controller.
"Peter's broad financial management experience is exceptional, and we're pleased to welcome an executive of his caliber to our team," said Rusty Rueff, chief executive officer of SNOCAP. "His knowledge and achievements span the entire spectrum of financial leadership responsibilities in large multinational companies to smaller growth companies. His leadership will be instrumental in building and sustaining a successful business model and providing strong strategic financial management for our company."
"I'm thrilled to join the SNOCAP team and contribute to the company's pioneering work in the digital music marketplace," said Peter Maloney. "This is an incredibly exciting time for the company and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to work with the rest of the team to lead SNOCAP for long term growth. As an avid music fan myself, I consider SNOCAP the perfect solution to enable artists to create, reach or expand their audience."
Maloney currently serves as chief financial officer and vice president of finance for Keynote, the worldwide leader in services that improve online business performance and communications technologies. For four years, Maloney has directed the financial performance for the company, which just concluded its ninth consecutive quarter of profitability, and has a client list comprised of more than half of the Fortune 100 companies.
Prior to Keynote Systems, Maloney served in senior management positions at Adaptive Broadband Corporation, a fixed wireless broadband company, as senior vice president of finance and senior vice president of corporate development. He has also served in a variety of financial management positions including vice president of investor relations at Republic Industries, Inc., and at Dole Food Company and Arthur Andersen LLP. Maloney holds an MBA in corporate finance from the University of Southern California and a BBA in economics from Temple University.
