Tashjian Named VP, Development, Razor & Tie Media
As part of its aggressive expansion, Razor & Tie Media has named Roger Tashjian vice president, development, based at the company's headquarters in New York City. The announcement was made by Razor & Tie Co-Owners Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam, to whom Tashjian will report. Chenfeld commented, "We have had a dramatic increase in our media business and expect Roger to take us to an even higher level". Tashjian was most recently director of new business for WCBS-FM.
A graduate of the Business School at Lehigh University, Tashjian began his career as product operations manager-Maritime Services for AT&T-Global Consumer Services in New Jersey in 1992. In 1994, he joined AT&T Wireless Services as product manager, Enhanced Services, also in New Jersey. In 1996, Tashdjian moved to Georgia to become director of Program Services for Mobile Security Communications. Later that year, Tashjian returned to New Jersey to join the staff of Omnipoint Communications as consumer marketing manager.
In 1998, Tashjian was named director of marketing for WNEW-FM, based in New York City. One year later in 1999, he became owner / president of Earful Audiobooks of New Jersey, a position he held for two years. In 2001, Tashjian joined the staff of GoAmerica Communications, Inc. as director of product management. One year later in 2002, Tashjian rejoined the staff of WCBS-FM as director of new business, a position he held for three years.
