Bob Doyle And David Hockman Join NMPA Board Of Directors
The National Music Publishers' Association (NMPA), the leading U.S. trade association for the music publishing industry, announced that two new members have been named to the board of directors, Bob Doyle of Major Bob Music and David Hockman, chairman and CEO of Sony/ATV Music Publishing. They are replacing Mary Jo Mennella, formerly of 20th Century Fox – Fox Music Inc., and Donna Hilley of Sony/ATV. Mennella ceased to be a director when she left Fox Music earlier this year; Hilley had resigned. As per the NMPA By-Laws, the board of directors filled their positions by majority vote.
"We are so pleased that publishing veterans Bob Doyle and David Hockman have joined the NMPA board of directors," said Irwin Z. Robinson, chairman of the NMPA board. "Both Bob and David are very active in the music publishing community, and deeply understand the issues that we are confronting in this digitally-driven environment. The NMPA board, the NMPA's president and CEO, David Israelite, and I look forward to working with them."
