Jeff Fenster Returns To The Zomba Label Group As Senior Vice President Of A&R
Peter Thea, senior vice president of The Zomba Label Group, has announced that Jeff Fenster has returned to ZLG as senior vice president of A&R. Jeff previously worked at Zomba from 1992 through 1999, where he worked with artists such as Britney Spears, The Backstreet Boys, and A Tribe Called Quest.
Most recently, Jeff was the senior vice president of A&R for Arista Records from July 2004 through September 2005, where he put together So Amazing: An All-Star Tribute to Luther Vandross and worked on upcoming albums by Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin.
Prior to working at Arista Records, Jeff held the title of senior vice president and head of A&R for Island Def Jam Records. While there he worked with such artists as The Killers, Bon Jovi, Hoobastank, Mariah Carey, Sum 41, Fall Out Boy and Nickelback.
Jeff's career in the music industry also includes his work as an attorney for the law firm Mitchell, Silberber and Knupp and the business affairs office at Warner Bros. Records.
In making this announcement, Peter Thea adds "Jeff has a very long history with Jive Records and we are very excited to welcome him back to the ZLG family. His track record and entrepreneurial approach to A&R makes him a natural fit at ZLG."
Jeff states, "I'm thrilled to be back with Barry Weiss, Peter Thea and all my other friends and colleagues at ZLG. I'm proud that I had a hand in building this legendary label, and I look forward to working with the outstanding artists here and finding great new artists in all genres."
