Music Managers Forum Canada To Host Intensive International Music Management Workshop In Association With Canadian Music Week

Brian Hetherman, president of Music Managers Forum Canada (MMF), announced that the MMF will host a one-day intensive management workshop and cocktail reception, in association with Canadian Music Week, on Wednesday, March 1st, 2006, at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, sponsored by LiveTourArtists.
The workshop will feature guest music managers from around the world and Canada, including Michael McMartin (Australia, Hoodoo Gurus), Keith Harris (UK, Stevie Wonder), Peter Jenner (UK, The Clash, Billy Bragg), Steve Garvan (US), Michael Bisping (Germany), Susan de Cartier (Canada, Blue Rodeo), Ryhna Thompson (Canada, Kid Koala), Allen Moy (Canada, 54-40), Bernie Breen (Canada, The Tragically Hip) and Larry Wanagas (Canada, The Trews).
The workshop (10 am - 6 pm) will cover topics such as management basics, managing in the international market place, and a segment on alternative revenue streams for artists with Tom Jackson from Artists Associates. Attendees will also be afforded the unique opportunity to speak directly with the guest participants in an intimate round robin question and answer segment, and at the post-workshop cocktail reception (6 - 8 pm).
