MP3.com Co-Founder Michelle Robertson Joins Musicane
Musicane, provider of market-leading commerce solutions for digital content creators, announced today that Michelle Robertson has joined the firm as chief marketing officer (CMO). She will oversee strategic marketing outreach programs aimed at providing stakeholders, including artists, record labels and content aggregators, with a compelling digital storefront solution, while simultaneously growing the company's customer base.
Musicane's agnostic commerce solution empowers rights holders and content aggregators alike with their storefront solution, which features a powerful set of commerce and marketing tools to offer digital downloads for purchase directly from their own web sites.

Michelle Robertson has been at the vanguard of the digital music revolution from its inception. Prior to joining Musicane, she advanced MP3.com's artist marketing efforts, which captured news headlines with the precedent-setting business model of empowering independent artists to embrace the Internet and sell their music globally. Ms. Robertson expanded the artist roster to approximately 300,000 artists prior to the company being acquired by Vivendi-Universal.
