Warner/Chappell Music Names Bob Bortnick Senior Vice President A&R
Warner/Chappell Music, Inc., the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group Corp., announced the appointment of Bob Bortnick as senior vice president, A&R.
In his new role, Bortnick will serve as an A&R executive for Warner/Chappell's U.S. company, with a particular focus on identifying new talent and further developing Warner/Chappell's leading roster of songwriters.
"As an accomplished creative executive, a first rate A&R professional, and a talented musician in his own right, we are fortunate to have Bob join our exceptionally talented A&R team, enabling us to be even more aggressive in signing and developing artists," said Richard Blackstone, chairman and CEO of Warner/Chappell Music.
Most recently, Bortnick was senior vice president of A&R at Zomba Music Publishing, collaborating with Zomba's entire roster of songwriters and artists. Prior to working at Zomba, Bortnick was vice president of A&R at Almo Sounds and a director of A&R at Giant Records. Bortnick will be based in New York City.
