Rumblefish Launches The First All-Use Music Licensing Store

Rumblefish SM, a music-focused marketing and licensing agency, opens its Music Licensing Store (MLS) at www.rumblefish.com. The result of more than five years of research, design, prototyping and development, it is the first online music licensing store that contains 100% pre-cleared music available for any use. MLS makes licensing music for any use – including commercials, film, video games, web video, and podcasts – as easy as downloading songs from popular online music stores such as iTunes.

Rumblefish's pre-cleared catalog of independent music makes it possible for any business, media company or creative agency around the world to leverage music in its projects. Users who will benefit from MLS include music supervisors, web developers, film and television directors and digital artists – as well as marketing and creative directors. License costs range from $5 for a podcast license to more than $50,000 for TV commercials.

"In the past, businesses had to navigate the licensing process on their own, a difficult and expensive undertaking that took between 30 to 100 hours to clear one song in addition to the license fees," said Paul Anthony, Rumblefish founder and Big Fish. "Companies kept asking why licensing music wasn't as easy as buying it, so we created MLS. This will have an enormous impact on how businesses access music and on how independent musicians are able to make a living."
