Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® (CRB) has announced the agenda highlights for the 38th Annual Country Radio Seminar (CRS-38). The seminar is a comprehensive mix of education and networking opportunities packed into three days, which provides vital training for industry professionals, artists, programmers, promotions, sales and media. CRS-38 will be held February 28-March 2, 2007 at the Nashville Convention Center.

Early Bird registration will be open soon at www.crb.org. The Early Bird Rate (if received by Nov. 30, 2006) is $499.

As with successful seminars in years past, CRS-38 will include annual convention staples such as programming and promotion panels, a research presentation, discussions and the working breakfast, as well as luncheon and dinner concerts. Individuals will have the chance to go one-on-one with industry experts and keynote speakers to discuss critical and controversial industry issues.

“The agenda for CRS-38 has been a collaborative effort from each agenda member who has worked (and is still working) very hard to make CRS-38 a success,” said Renee Fonner, CRS Agenda Committee Chair and Promotions Director at KFKF-FM. “I think that as a CRS attendee you will find a very diverse agenda with sessions that are educational, entertaining, and actionable ideas for your professional and personal life.”

The panel discussions, keynote presentations and session topics are formulated by the CRS Agenda Committee and approved by the Board of Directors. The committee is made up of a cross-section of executives from the radio and record industry.

CRS-38 AGENDA HIGHLIGHTS:

This year, the seminar will start a day earlier, on Wednesday February 28, with the addition of several new events on that day. CRS-38 will kick-off at 10 a.m. with a showcase followed by a panel featuring this year’s living inductees into the Radio and DJ Hall of Fame. Artist Taping Sessions will follow as well as the Arbitron: People Meter panel and KCRS LIVE! Curb/Asylum will host a luncheon and performance, and the day will close with the ACM Music City Jam.

Highlights of Thursday, March 1 will be the keynote speaker and Spring Town Meeting, which will lead into panel events including, The Road and the Radio, The Life of a Legend, Promotions/Programming Ideas of Steel Promotion Awards and No Holds Barred. Additional Small Market panels will include Be Brilliant at the Basics, Don’t Get Tangled in the Web and Small Market: Everything you Wanted To Know But Were Afraid To Ask. The afternoon will also include the Sony BMG Lunch and Performance and the day will finish out with BMI WCRS LIVE! featuring Pat Green and Sarah Buxton.

Friday, March 2 begins with a research presentation and The View from Capitol Hill. The day will be full of panels including The Authentic Personality: Talent Coaching, Digging Up Bones: The Anatomy of a Record Label, Artist Interviews 101 and Mom I Married an MD: Theories of Music Scheduling. Friday will also focus on several sales panels including Prospecting: How To Hit The Motherload, WWW.CLICKYOURMONEYMAKER.COM, Your Baby Is Ugly and RAB Sales Session. Friday’s luncheon and performance will be hosted by Capitol Nashville and the day will culminate with the New Faces Dinner & Show.

As always, exhibitor areas will be open on Wednesday and Thursday.

Early confirmed panelists for the three-day event include Steve Goldstein (Saga Communications), Brian Jennings (KZKX), Bill McMahon (The Authentic Personality), Marci Braun (WUSN), Ruth Presslaff (Presslaff Interactive), Scott Lindy (Sirius Satellite Radio), Mark Levy (Radio Advertising Bureau), Mike Peterson (WUSN), Larry Pareigis (Columbia Records), Blair Garner (AfterMidnite), John Willyard (John Willyard Productions), Chris Bell (Planet Jam Media Group), Mike Dungan (Capitol Records), John Potter (Radio Advertising Bureau) and Gary Marince (Arbitron).
