24-7 MusicShop To Offer The World’s First Dual Delivery Solution For Music Videos
TDC Mobile Signs On As The First Customer
MusicShop, the leading European B2B service provider for the digital distribution of music, announced another ground-breaking delivery service. 24-7 will be the first digital service provider worldwide to offer a dual delivery solution for music videos.
The service will enable its large customer base, consisting of leading telcos, retailers, media companies and hardware manufacturers, to offer music videos via the existing web and wap stores. In addition, music videos can also be delivered simultaneously to online and mobile accounts. This unique feature allows users to purchase and download music videos on their mobile phone, whilst receiving a full screen resolution copy of the music video delivered to their online account, where it can be downloaded to a PC or Media Centre.
A new application ‘24-7 MediaXpress’ ™ will automatically download and synchronise the music libraries between mobile phones and any PCs in accordance with the usage rights provided by the labels.
“We are very proud to offer the world’s first dual delivery solution of music videos. This milestone marks 24-7’s final step in providing a complete range of digital music products including music videos, full length audio tracks and ringtones via web and mobile,” says Frank Taubert, CEO of 24-7 MusicShop. “Rather than working with several suppliers on music related services, our customers can now provide hassle free, state-of-the-art one-stop shopping to their users. This will be a huge benefit for our customers in regards to offering a variety of products and at the same time minimizing administrational costs.”
TDC Mobile signed up as the first customer to implement and launch the dual delivery solution for music videos. TDC has actively supported the development of the new service and is now the first customer to have adopted the entire 24-7 product range of music related services for their broadband and mobile offerings.
The announcement of the new service was accompanied by an exclusive event at MIDEM featuring an acoustic performance by multi-platinum artist SIMON WEBBE
