Platinum Blue & Fraunhofer Institute Announce Technology Partnership

Platinum Blue, the company that offers real world technology-based solutions to the music and media industries, and the famed Fraunhofer Institute announced a strategic alliance to develop new and innovative services.

Both parties have enjoyed an informal relationship since Platinum Blue was founded in December 2005 and they have now decided to take the relationship to the next level. Under the terms of the agreement Platinum Blue will get a "first look" at Fraunhofer's latest innovations and take them into consideration for the development of new real-world applications.

Mike McCready, CEO of Platinum Blue, said, "Our mission is to be the channel to market for the best music intelligence technologies. We build our own solutions as well as license core pieces of technology from third parties. Starting with the development of the MP3 format all the way to advanced feature extraction, The Fraunhofer Institute has certainly demonstrated their innovative drive and leadership in the field of technology as it applies to music.
