AIM Promotes Harris To General Manager
The Association of Independent Music is pleased to announce the promotion of Remi Harris to General Manager, with immediate effect. Previously AIM's Project Manager, Harris will now manage the Associaton's day-to-day running and oversee its various activities.
AIM staff members Ellie Mules and Lara Baker have also been promoted, with Ellie Mules taking on the position of Member Services Manager and Lara Baker becoming the Association's Marketing and Communications Manager.
Harris, who joined AIM when the organisation was founded in 1999, will report to and work closely with AIM Chairman and CEO Alison Wenham to manage the organisation's ever growing agenda. During her 8 years at AIM she has developed some of the most popular member benefits, including AIM's mentoring scheme, the Big Wednesday series of events and the monthly magazine for independent music companies 'Independent Music', published with The Independent newspaper.
Said AIM Chairman, Alison Wenham, "Remi's promotion to General Manager of AIM is to recognise her outstanding contribution to the organisation. Also with Lara and Ellie taking up the newly created roles of Marketing and Communications Manager and Member Services Manager this completes the restructuring of AIM's staff to support an ever growing and dynamic agenda.
"We are extremely fortunate in having such a dedicated and talented staff, and these new positions demonstrate AIM's commitment to offering training, and further opportunities for growth and personal development."
Remi recently completed a Masters in Business Administration at The University of Westminster and also has a degree in Psychology, History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Leeds.
