Popkomm IMEA 2007: Strong partners promote Popkomm Awards
New ideas need support. Popkomm has enlisted first-rate partners to sponsor the Innovation in Music & Entertainment Award IMEA and to give the award and the startups taking part strong support. As a special incentive, prize money will be awarded with this year's Popkomm IMEA. Another first: immediately after the presentation ceremony Popkomm will invite guests to an exclusive IMEA VIP dinner.
Platinum, gold and silver. Big names will be sponsoring this year's Popkomm IMEA. Popkomm has succeeded in gaining SDC Secure Digital Container AG as Platinum Sponsor. Michael Bornhäusser, CEO of SDC AG, on his company's commitment at the Popkomm IMEA: "Popkomm has created a platform for innovation in this fast-growing technology and media industry. Based in Switzerland, the company is the world's market leader in DRM technology for mobile music services. SDC AG will be hosting the exclusive Popkomm IMEA VIP dinner on 19 September. Media promotion, business contacts and prize money
This year's winner in the category of "best and most promising business idea" will be awarded a stand at Popkomm 2008 and, for the first time, 5,000 euros prize money. Immediately after the IMEA Finalist Screening Session on 19 September a cocktail reception and ceremony will be held to present the Innovation in Music & Entertainment Award. The event will be a part of the exclusive Popkomm IMEA VIP dinner. Euro I AG from Hamburg and RealNetworks will act as the IMEA's Gold Sponsors. Euro I AG with its umbrella brand YAVIDO stands for music, entertainment and communications and addresses its audiences via TV, mobile devices, IPTV and the web. Popkomm IMEA – plug in to success
This is the fourth time that Popkomm is inviting applicants to take part in the Innovation in Music and Entertainment Award (IMEA). The international music marketplace that Berlin represents is targeting projects and companies whose creative use of new media and digital technology provides new impulses for the music business. The Popkomm IMEA Finalist Screening Session will be taking place during Popkomm 2007 (19 – 21 September) on 19 September, with startups presenting their ideas to an international panel of celebrity jurors. Among the prizes awaiting award winners are a stand at Popkomm 2008. Creative enterprises still have until 31 July to submit their business ideas to www.popkommawards.com.
