The Last Stand
Title: Alabama-The Last Stand
Alabama - The Last Stand is a special CD - available only at your favorite Cracker Barrel location around the country. From the first song, "Here We Are," through the
entire CD, I was remembering seeing the band perform these songs in concert.
Without a doubt - the best country act I've ever seen (and I've been to
100s of concerts) was ALABAMA - they gave 100% on stage and that excitement
is heard on The Last Stand.
Randy's smooth voice and the band's sound that made it the most celebrated
band of all time in Country music - still sounded great through the years!
Randy asked the question, "How many people, deep down in your mind, your
body, your spirit, your heart and your soul, still love truly love down-home,
good 'ol fashioned country music?", right before the opening notes of
playing the great song, "Jukebox in my Mind." The crowd roared with approval
- as I could see Randy's smile and hear Jeff Cook's guitar solo with Teddy's
constant bass keeping time of such a timeless country song.
I could see
everyone's lighters as the song, "Old Flame" was playing - reminded me of
sitting with a friend in 1984 and seeing her cry - thinking about an old
flame of hers as she sang along to that song. "Feels So Right" will bring
back memories of your arm around a loved one and a kiss or two that you
shared listening to Alabama during a concert or two through the years.
The Last Stand is a true "must have" for everyone who was fortunate to see the
band perform live - right through the final song on the CD dedicated to
those who kept the band going all through the years, "The Fans."
There was nothing like seeing Alabama in concert - you knew you would get
your money's worth with those awesome harmonies, the showmanship and
excitement of the crowd. Those memories and smiles will come right back to
you when listening to this great collection of our favorite Alabama songs
on The Last Stand.
