John Anderson and Aaron Tippin, two of the recording artists who lent their talents to We Are Enterprise: The Album To Help Rebuild Enterprise High School (Country Crossing Records), spent time in Alabama last Tuesday, January 27, to visit with the community. Appearing at two in-stores (the Wal*Mart in Enterprise and in Dothan), Anderson and Tippin spent several hours, making introductions, shaking hands and signing autographs.

The CD, We Are Enterprise, was released in December 2008 and was created to embrace the community of Enterprise, AL, and to assist in rebuilding the Enterprise High School that was destroyed in the wake of the deadly tornado that struck the school in March 2007.

Since March 2007, the students of Enterprise High School have been attending classes in trailers and temporary outlets. The high school is due to be rebuilt by the 2010-11 school year with costs expected to exceed $80 million. All record company and artist net proceeds from the sales of We Are Enterprise will be donated to the fund for the rebuilding of the facility. Country Crossing Records presented a check in the amount of $5,000 at the press conference held before the student body (who were gathered in the same building for the first time since the tornado) at the Enterprise Ozark Community College that Tuesday afternoon.

In addition to Anderson and Tippin, George Jones, Deborah Allen, Clint Black, Joe Diffie, Shelly Fairchild, Tracy Lawrence, Richie McDonald, Lorrie Morgan and Darryl Worley appear on We Are Enterprise produced by James Stroud.
