Tetsuro Mise Joins Creative Studio Resident As Art Director

The creative studio Resident announced that it has named Tetsuro Mise to the position of Art Director. An emerging talent in motion design, Mise teams with Creative Director Gregory de Maria in overseeing all of Resident's commercial, music video, cinema and online projects.

In Mise, Resident further strengthens its reputation as a truly globally-influenced visual effects boutique. A self-taught animator/designer and a graduate of Nihon University College of Art, Tokyo, Mise comes to Resident from Trollbäck & Company. While there, his style - a dynamic and thoughtful blend of rhythm, polish, and meaningfulness - contributed to rebrands for A&E and ESPN HD, as well as numerous spots and promos for MetLife, Time Warner Cable, The History Channel and Nickelodeon.


24-7 Entertainment Appoints Christoph Oberhaus As Chief Financial Officer

24-7 Entertainment, Europe's leading B2B digital distribution provider of music and music related content, announced the appointment of Christoph Oberhaus as its new Chief Financial Officer.

Oberhaus most recently held the position of Managing Director for WOM (World of Music) Media Network GmbH, one of Germany's renowned music retailers. In this position he oversaw the e-commerce and publishing businesses among other things. Prior to that, he worked for Arcandor (formerly KarstadtQuelle group, WOM's holding company) in various senior positions in new media and finance. He also worked for many years for The Boston Consulting Group as Project Leader for the financial sector. Oberhaus holds a Business Degree from Ruhr-University Bochum in Germany.


Live Nation Reorganizes Global Music Leadership By Key Business Drivers

Live Nation, the world's largest live music company, announced the appointment of four executives to leadership positions in the company's Global Music Division. The division operates in 33 countries overseeing worldwide concert promotion, touring, sponsorship, artist services and venues, including the company's House of Blues division.

Brian Yost, President of Onsite Products.
Mr. Yost has distinguished himself in similar roles at Walt Disney World, Marriott International and Harrah's Entertainment. In this newly created position, Mr. Yost will develop new products that maximize the monetization of the onsite concert experience.

John Rostas, President of Global Venues.
Mr. Rostas is a veteran of General Electric, where he led the implementation of Six Sigma for a number of GE businesses. In this newly created position, Mr. Rostas is tasked with establishing best practices and driving operational efficiencies across Live Nation's global portfolio of venues to continue to realize margin improvement.

Seth Matlins, Global Chief Marketing Officer.
In his new position, Mr. Matlins' role is to increase the number of concert attendees by leveraging his vast experience with global brands to build marketing and media partnerships with corporate America that maximize Live Nation's more than $150 million annual media spend and 43 million attendees at our promoted events. Mr. Matlins previously worked at Creative Artists Agency in a similar role.

Robert Peters, Chief Strategic Officer.
Mr. Peters will continue in his role of working to identify key trends and growth opportunities and drive strategy formulation and execution through every level of the organization.


Yatter Named Original Signal Recordings Vice President Of Public Relations

Carise Yatter has been named Vice President, Public Relations for Original Signal Recordings (OSR), based at the company's headquarters in New York City. The announcement was made by OSR Co-Founder Lucas Mann, to whom Yatter reports. Mann commented, "Carise's deep experience at both indies and majors proves to be a real asset as we continue to move into a new kind of record business. She shares our enthusiasm for the future and will really make an impact for our artists." Yatter was most recently Vice President, Media & Artist Relations for Razor & Tie Entertainment.


Peermusic Names Mary Megan Peer As Vice President For Business Development

peermusic has announced the appointment of Mary Megan Peer as Vice President of Business Development. Ms. Peer, who will report to CFO Bill Gorjance, joins peermusic from Investment Banking where she executed transactions for clients in the media and entertainment sector at S.G. Cowen and Jeffries & Company. Most recently, she was Vice President in the New York-based media and telecom group of Piper Jaffray.

Alessandro Massara Appointed Managing Director Of Universal Music Italy

At Universal Music Italy, Alessandro Massara has been named Managing Director, effective immediately. The appointment was announced by Pascal Negre, President, Mediterranean/South America/Middle East, at Universal Music Group International, to whom he reports.

Massara has been Director of Universal Music Italy's Domestic Division since 2008. Previously, he served as Managing Director of V2 Records Italy from 1999-2007.

Pascal Negre said, "Our Italian company has been growing in the last couple of years. The goal with Alessandro at the helm will be to continue this momentum, focusing especially on signing and developing new talent, and exploring new avenues for our business."


Numark Adds Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Europe, Middle East and Africa

Numark, the world's leading manufacturer of DJ technology, announced the expansion of its European management team with the addition of Paul Daniel Wright as the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Warner/Chappell Music Names Tracy Gershon, Senior Vice President And Head Of A&R, Nashville

Warner/Chappell Music, the music publishing arm of Warner Music Group Corp., and one of the world's largest music publishers, announced that industry veteran Tracy Gershon has been appointed to the newly created position of Senior Vice President and Head of A&R, Nashville. Effective immediately, Gershon will report to Scott Francis, President, Warner/Chappell Music and Chairman and CEO, Warner/Chappell Music U.S.

Known throughout the music industry as a top A&R executive whose artist and songwriter signings include The Mavericks, Miranda Lambert and Carlene Carter among others, Gershon will play a major role in the company's signing of emerging and established songwriters and artists, acquiring songwriter catalogs via strategic partnerships, and other new business ventures, and also pairing Warner/Chappell songwriters with recording artists.
