Reggae & Soul Legends Concert Series Launched In Brooklyn

The press launch of the inaugural Reggae & Soul Legends Concert Series, held at Brooklyn Borough Hall in New York on Tuesday (Nov. 17) afternoon was another slamming night out that drew scores of well wishers and the who is who in the media fraternity. The event was held at Brooklyn Borough Hall in New York on Tuesday afternoon. Veteran DJ Pincher dug in his bag of goodies and delivered "The Return of A Don" and "Bandolero" while Ed Robinson grooved with Knocking At Heavens Door. Gerald Alston of the Manhattans gave the ladies a pinch of Kiss & Say Goodbye that sounded oh so sweet.
The concert series kicks off on Thanksgiving Friday, November 27, 2009 with Third World, Gregory Isaacs, Inner Circle and the royal empress of reggae - Marcia Griffiths. The second show scheduled for Saturday, November 28, 2009 will feature The Temptation Review, The Manhattans and Rose Royce.
Event promoter George Crooks of Jammins Entertainment used the opportunity to thank the media for their unwavering support and promised an entertaining series of events. Among the special invited guests attending the launch were James Connelly - Mayor Bloomberg's Office; Deon Alleyne - Executive Office, CACCI; Derrick Noel - Director of Marketing, CACCI; Ann Marie Adams - Brooklyn Borough President's Office; Elliot Vey - Owner, NY Perks; Eric St. Bernards - Cablevision News12; Third World bass player Richard Daley; Mike Williams, Irie Jam Media and Ann Marie Grant - Executive Director, AFUWI.
Billed as 'a celebration of nostalgia and enduring talents,' the Reggae & Soul Legends concert series will be held at the prestigious Brooklyn Academy of Music - BAM, in Brooklyn, New York.
