Michelle Turley Shares Her Holidays With MusicDish
Michelle Turley Shares Holiday Plans, Special Holiday Memories And their New Years Resolutions
Once again the holiday season is upon us. I took some time out to catch up with Michelle Turley to see what the artists are up to for the holidays, if they had any special holiday memories to share and what their New Years Resolutions for 2010 are. Michelle is a new artist whose first single, "Hard Times" went to number one on the indie charts. Her second single, "Caroline" will be released in January.
[CB]: Hi Michelle. So what are your plans for the holidays?
[Michelle]: My plans are to be in Phoenix with my family. Our mother passed away this year and it will be the first holiday season without her. We will be celebrating her life with all of the wonderful family holiday traditions that she learned from her mother and grandmother and then passed onto us. Each year, we pass those traditions onto our children.
[CB]: I’m sorry to hear the news on your Mother. That has to be rough. Do you have any favorite Christmas memories?
[Michelle]: One of my favorite memories of Christmas past from childhood is when our whole family, five kids the dog mom and pop would pick out our Christmas Tree. We drove out into the wilderness, where there was knee high snow and we would hike into the boon docks, scope out all the best Evergreens and pick from the natural habitat what we thought was the most beautiful tree that year. Now, unfortunately Christmas Trees either come out of a box or most people buy it from an overpriced lot. You can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl......
[CB]: Do you have any special New Years Resolutions for 2010?
[Michelle]: Listen to my gut more often, set more goals and never stop dreaming.
[CB]: That sounds good. Wishing you and your family a happy and healthy holiday season.
[Michelle]: Thanks Cindy.
