City Inside a Broken Sky II is a poetic & emotional expression of "being lost & madness" in a city. Artists from Hong Kong, the United States, Australia and Japan share their life experiences through music, images and movements in the creation of a unique "pop opera".
《迷走都市II》發掘城市迷失的詩意情感，紀錄都市人的瘋狂、悵惘狀態。
中、美、澳、日四國藝術家以各自的生活感受及擅長的表演方式，以音樂、影像、聲音及形體創作一齣高速疾走翻天覆地的 "普末" 歌劇 (pop-opera)。

A leading figure of the modern music theatre in Hong Kong, who returned Hong Kong in early 1980's. His unique music and performance style was pioneer and surprising to Hong Kong audience. His music theatre has made a great influence to the later music scene in Hong Kong.
香港出生及成長，之後在美跟隨Allen Trubitt及George Crumb學習古典音樂及作曲。八十年代中回港後與彼得小話成立音樂組合盒子。過往十多年曾作過不同的音樂風格、即興創作及進行戲劇藝術的實驗。其個人音樂劇場作品包括《行行 重行行》、《浮橋》、《迷走都市》及《M園》，並為本地多位編舞家及劇場導演創作音樂。曾於香港、台灣、日本、古巴、塔什干、紐約、倫敦、柏林及威尼斯演出自己的音樂。專輯有《行行重行行》及《Bluesilence / Fishdreams》。
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Kung Chi Shing studied classical music and composition in the United States with Allen Trubitt and George Crumb. Returning to Hong Kong in the mid-1980s, Kung founded the seminal music and performance group THE BOX, with Peter Suart. As an individual composer and performer, Kung focuses on experimentation with different formats that include pop, classical and improvisational music and theatre art, and through the exploration of the unconventional sound possibilities of different acoustic and electronic instruments. Since 1996 he has created, composed and staged three full-length music theatre pieces: Destiny Travels Limited, The Floating Bridge, City Inside a Broken Sky and M Garden . He collaborates frequently with choreographers and theatre artists, and has composed music for original productions by Toronto Dance Theatre, Hong Kong Dance Company, City Contemporary Dance Company, Hong Kong Ballet, Theatre Fanatico, YURI and company danciNG, Chung Ying Theatre Company, Taiwan�s U Theatre and Taipei Dance Forum, among others. He has performed his music in productions in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Cuba, Tashkent, New York, London, Berlin and Venice. Kung�s recordings on CD include Destiny Travels Limited and Blue Silence/Fish Dreams, the compilation BOX GO HOME and THE BOX : FULL FATHOM FIVE . Kung has given lectures at Hong Kong Chinese University, University of Hong Kong, Polytechnic University, Baptist University, Ling Nan University, Hong Kong City University, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Hong Kong Arts Centre, and Guangzhou Dance Academy.
