MusicDish is back with another exciting batch of new music for your listening pleasure. Not sure what kind of music you want to listen to? Don't worry because the Secret Sounds Vol.2 playlist has got a wide variety of music to choose from. From the retro rock styling of Electra "Coming to Get You" to the avant guard electronica of Grand Pianoramax's "Roulette" there's something for everybody here. Halie Loren soothes and comforts with her bossa groove "Thirsty" and Dengue Fever give you a taste of the eclectic with their song "Cement Slippers". Golden Bloom and Gill Sofu will have you smiling with their brand of pop that's sure to make anyone's day a little brighter.

Cement Slippers - Dengue Fever
Dengue Slippers are a young band from Los Angeles who's lived were forever altered by a trip to Cambodia. Ever since that fateful trip the band has been playing their take on Cambodian rock with a psychadelic flair. Their new single "Cement Slippers" is as unique as their name. If you're looking for a new refreshing brand of rock and roll check out Dengue Fever in a city near you.

Coming To Get You - Electra
Too many times you hear music fans complain about new bands not being able to merge past influences with the present. Well, Electra is a band that has seemingly done just that. With their new single "Coming to Get You!" They've bridged the gap between much of the glorious rock, pop, and reggae of the past and added modern rock sensibilities to make music that sounds both old and new, comfortable but utterly refreshing. The band hails from Israel and hopes to take the music world by storm with their energetic brash brand of rock and roll.

Thirsty - Halie Loren
Halie Loren's website claims when you listen to her music you should "Think Peggy Lee and Billie Holiday and Joni Mitchell". Quite lofty comparisons for anyone but if "Thirsty" is an indication of success the singer/songwriter has an incredibly bright future. Thirsty is a slow tempo song that floats on a luscious, and soulful bossa nova flavored groove. Her sultry, powerful voice hits all the right notes and makes this an irresistible song whenever you're in the mood to slow things down.

Elephant Heart - Gill Sotu
Gill Sotu wants to invite you into his world with his new single "Elephant Heart". SOTU gets personal and introspective on this track speaking in sharp tongue poetic phrases over a back-porch strummed acoustic guitar with mariachi flavored percussion and horns. His lively lyrics and visual lyrics make for a very reward able listen. This is a perfect track for those quiet reflective moments in life.

Doomsday Devices - Golden Bloom
Records like Golden Bloom's "Doomsday Devices" make the listener think they're listening to a large ensemble band that has proven its worth and longevity through years of touring. This couldn't be more to the contrary though. Golden Bloom is comprised of only one member and his name is Shawn Fogel Shawn's brand of highly layered, catchy pop is reminiscent of earlier Wilco records and is sure to put a smile on your face.

Roulette - Grand Pianoramax
Grand Pianoramax is the vision of Leo Tardin ,who interestingly enough, was the first winner of the Montreux Jazz Festival International Piano Solo Competion. He has taken a completely different direction with Pianoramax, which is an experimental group that utilizes mostly keyboards and drums. "Roulette" starts with a lone distorted keyboard riff and slowly builds into a frenzy of furious drumming and moog keyboard stabs. The track builds in intensity and keeps the interest level high never content to stay grounded in one place. Electronic music has always been a beacon for change and excitement. If you want to hear why this is let Grand Pianoramax take you for their fun twisted ride.
