D.W Fearn Founder Hails A Great Year
Doug Fearn - the founder of D.W.Fearn is heading to AES 2011 in an optimistic mood this year. D.W Fearn has had a banner year by any standards, even with the economy forcing a lot of audio companies to cut costs and overheads. Never one to even slightly compromise the quality of the signal processors that he single handedly designs and oversees the marketing and distribution of, Doug has even found time this year to start a series of You Tube seminars describing how to get the most from the gear he so lovingly brings to market.
Doug says "Despite the general distrust of the world economy, D.W. Fearn sales have been strong in 2011. We've been doing well, selling more and more to the private studios and individual producers than ever before.
It shows that if you have a well-made product aimed at the right audience, then there will always be sales. Our VT-2 Dual-Channel Vacuum Tube Microphone Preamplifier continues to sell strongly, year after year, and 2011 was no exception. VT-1 (the single-channel version of the mic preamp) sales have actually gone up this year. And our VT-7 Stereo Compressor is as popular as ever, especially for mixing and mastering. Even the relatively new VT-12 70dB Vacuum Tube Mic Preamp has generated a lot of interest and sales this year."
