Singer-songwriter Naama Kates' "King for the Day"

Singer-songwriter/pianist Naama Kates released the music video for her latest track, "King for the Day", taken off her full-length sophomore album. Directed by Luis Aguirre, the video is extravagant, provocative, and layered with dark wit. It serves as the perfect accompaniment to the wonderfully realized single.

Corresponding to the single's message about being "King for the Day", the video features a ravishing Kates dressed in a lavish evening dress singing. A suited man appears from time to time and pampers Kates with gifts and gestures, making her a true "king". As the video draws to an end, however, we are forced to recognize the superficiality of these objects. The exaggerated backdrop is taken down to reveal a rundown alley, while the man takes back his gifts, leaving Kates looking helpless.

The single itself is a classy blend of blues, jazz, and pop. With the help of Mike Richardson on the trombone, John Carfi on bass, and Rich West on drums, Kates records a gorgeous piano arrangement. Her exuberant vocals give the poetic lyrics a high level of sincerity and power. Grammy-nominated producer Scott Fraser (Kronos Quartet) recorded, engineered and mastered. Like all the other songs on her sophomore album, "King for the Day" was recorded in a single take.

Country Star Rachel Potter's "Live the Dream"

Rising country music star Rachel Potter has released the official music video to her single, "Live the Dream." The sincere, heartfelt video is directed by Patryk Larney and was featured on Potter's same-titled debut album. Celebrities, such as Ricky Martin, Michael Cerveris and Max Von Essen, made cameos.

The simple music video features people of all ages, races, sizes and shapes dancing and having a blast in a front of grey background, highlighting the single's earnest, relatable message. In between cuts of these "average joes", Potter would sing directly at her audience with energy and excitement.

Potter's versatile, moving vocals does wonders to the single. With a slow, steady rhythm and unforgettable tune, "Live the Dream" is the perfect country song aimed at listeners of all ages. The single's honest message about attaining one's dream is brought to life by the talented Potter.

British Pop/Jazz Duo Miss 600's "Hello"

In anticipation of the release of their debut album, UK-based pop/jazz duo Miss 600 released the music video for their newest single, "Hello", following the success of their previous singles "Twist" and "Typically Me".

The music video features Garner and David Amar, the other half of the duo, walking through a wonderfully cheesy backdrop of stripe bands and bright colors. Shot in black-and-white, the two musicians sharply juxtapose the video's colorful background. To capture the single's turn-of-centuryesque instrumentals, the video uses simple cinematography and rough cuts to transport listeners back to the classy, flamboyant Europe in the early 1900s.

Compared to their other work, "Twist" and "Typically Me", "Hello" has a faster, more upbeat rhythm. With flashy horns and exuberant guitar riffs, the single's tune is reminiscent of Golden Age jazz at its best. When Garner's confident, powerful vocals are added to the mix, "Hello" becomes a track representing pop jazz at its best. In response to both the single and the MV's popularity, BBC Radio 2 has just added "Hello" to their playlist.
