TOLAKU and QUARTERBACK will showvase their joint performance on 12/27 at Mao Livehouse and 12/29 at VOX Livehouse. Opened in 2005 and focusing on Wuhan rock music, VOX Livehouse has become an institution in the sprawling central Chinese city.
TOLAKU was formed in Taiwan in 1996. Their music reflects their name: simple, direct and powerful through which one can feel their strong enthusiasm for youth. Now their songs are widely heard in China, especially the hit "Summer".
"A band should not to ingratiate themselves with others!" Said by Quarterback. "Quarterback" formed in 1993. Like many bands, Quarterback started by playing cover songs in the beginning. They grew to perform original materials and form their unique music style step by step. After years of ups and downs, Quarterback has gone through the mainstream and non-mainstream, mass and niche markets, but they still choose to be themselves without pandering to popular taste. They have been nominated 3 times for Best Band at the Golden Melody Awards. Their brave and uncompromising personalities make them truly become the quarterbacks in music field.
It is a chance to witness the Taiwan rock history through joining this concert of TOLAKU*Quarterback who are never absent in Taiwan rock history.
