Modern Sky Releases The Life Journey's new EP "So I Won't Sing Anymore"
Guangxi-based pop-rock band The Life Journey released their new EP "So I Won't Sing Anymore" and launched a nationwide tour
The Life Journey (旅行团), a Guangxi-based pop-rock band signed to indie record label Modern Sky since 2005, released their new EP "So I Won't Sing Anymore" last December. The band is presently on a nationwide tour in support of their new EP release.
Compared with their past works, the theme of this EP stands out in its heartening lyrics and melody. Their thoughts for life are enriched with by own personal experiences. This is why the EP-titled single is a dialogue between the band and the world, opening up the possibility of harmonizing dream and reality. The Life Journey's unceasing love for tender melody is not compromised by their unadorned lyrics.
The lyrics for the song "I eat deep-fried chicken in the People's Square" on the EP was written by Asi (阿肆), an indie Folk musician also signed to Modern Sky, and was inspired by one of the band's strange encounters in their hometown Liuzhou (柳州).
