MusicDish*China Presents Ji, Yui and Nagi Trio For A Night At The Museums
The jazz trio will help celebrate the China Institute's new Downtown headquarters as well as its upcoming fall exhibition as part of Night at the Museums
The stars align on June 21st as NYC celebrates Make Music New York and Night at the Museums, and MusicDish*China presents the talented jazz trio Ji, Yui and Nagi at the China Institute. Night at the Museums will open 15 of Lower Manhattan's museums and historic sites to the public, including the China Institute where the Ji, Yui and Nagi trio will help celebrate its new Downtown headquarters as well as its upcoming fall exhibition: Art in a Time of Chaos: Masterworks from Six Dynasties China, 3rd-6th Centuries.

Formed in early 2016, the trio is composed of vocalist Ji Yoo, pianist Yui Tsuchida and saxophonist Nagi Okamoto. The music the trio performs is a mixture of both vocal and instrumental selections in the styles of Jazz, Pop, Bossa Nova and Rhythm & Blues ("R&B”) by artists such as Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Billie Holiday and other well known contemporary artists.
Founded in 1926, China Institute is committed to advancing a deeper understanding of China through programs in education, culture, business, and art in the belief that cross-cultural understanding strengthens the global community. This September, China Institute will be celebrating its 90th anniversary at its new Downtown headquarters and opening its inaugural exhibition: Art in a Time of Chaos: Masterworks from Six Dynasties China, 3rd-6th Centuries.
