Bands: Nothingface (www.nothingface.net) & Endo
Venue: The Creepy Crawl, St.Louis
Date: Dec. 8, 2000

I continually kept hearing about this band called Nothingface, so when I heard they were going to be in St.Louis I drove the two hours to see for myself what the hub bub was about. I'm glad to say I didn't waste my time.

I arrived just before Endo started and the band that was on stage had me a bit worried that I was going to be disappointed.

When Endo took the stage the crowd definitely was ready for the change. The moshing started immediately, but tamely. I thought Endo was very talented and if they were in my neck of the woods I would probably go see them again, as long as the ticket price was low. They sound almost exactly like Rage Against the Machine, right down to some slightly changed riffs. I think there is still a fan base for the rap metal thing, although I believe it's dwindling as all too many bands jump on the wagon. Endo definitely has the talent to make it were they want to be, I just hope that on their next album, they explore more towards the heavy edge they're so good at. Even though they didn't hit all the right spots for me, I would still recommend you check out their upcoming album to be released on February 13, 2001.

Now on to Nothingface, I would highly recommend their new album "Violence" that has just been released in stores. They slammed me in all the right places. The pit didn't stop moving until the music did and, although, I like it a little ruffer most of the time, I have to account for the cramped quarters of the Creepy Crawl.

Hard core fans are going to love this band and they are ready and worthy of our love. So all come forth and rise them to their place.

I wish both bands the best of luck, and if you're ever in St.Louis, go check out the Creepy Crawl - it's a great place to see new talent.
