Wireless Music - BuzzHits, Mobilee and HitHive are Leading the Pack!

Finally!!! The music fanatics most convenient application, yet!! Between BuzzHits and Mobilee, the music fan need look no further than their phone or mobile phone to get the data they need!

BuzzHits works like this: you're listening to the radio, jamming out and you hear that fabulous song that's been in your head for days. The worst part of radio today is how infrequently the jocks tell you what you're listening to. Problem solved with BuzzHits. Simply type in the URL to your web-enabled phone and you'll access all the goods you need - artist name, song title and albums, which feature the tune. Then if you decide you can't live without it, their retail partner,, will provide you the opportunity to forever own it to have and to hold.

BuzzHits provides technology solutions that enable companies to connect with interested consumers. With this technology, companies can reach consumers at their peak point of interest. At the same time, BuzzHits is tracking the responses of these active radio listeners, including station and song preferences and also capturing their e-mail addresses, for appropriate upsell and promotional opportunities. The Company has already teamed with AT&T Wireless and to power the world's first 'wireless listening wall'. Available on AT&T's PocketNet Digital service's shopping channel, BuzzHits enables AT&T mobile customers to preview songs and then easily make music purchases.

Though BuzzHits has been most extensively tested in the San Francisco Bay area, these tests have generated some serious results - over 200,000 calls and 20,000 registered users for customers/listeners of all the area popular radio stations. In the next four months, BuzzHits plans to expand the service to 10 major US markets and all the significant radio stations in those areas.

BuzzHits offers: Access Music In Your City In addition to info about a song currently playing on your favorite radio station, you can browse through the station playlist, listen to an audio clip directly from the phone and check out a top 10 list of the songs most queried by users.

Personal Song Management - You can keep track of all the songs you've queried and retrieve any song information you previously saved in your personal folders including the audio clip, detailed album information and WAP enabled shopping.

Ease of Use - Login once! After initial login, the BuzzHits system recognizes you and directs you to the homepage. Travelers have the option to change their geographic area to find out what's playing where they are.

Mobilee, on the other hand, has been in the wireless world for a while: Using the Microsoft Windows Media Platform, Mobilee has created the first patent-pending Wireless Media Gateway and Streaming Media Delivery Network to enable phone access to streaming audio content. The Mobilee infrastructure represents a dramatic breakthrough in providing a way to instantaneously transfer streaming audio content to the telephone and Wireless Application Protocol-based (WAP) Web phones. Mobilee enables Web content providers, broadcasters and radio networks to easily provide their users local phone access to their content.

Mobilee is now in music!!! Mobilee users can browse and retrieve broadcast audio from any phone, not just their mobile phone. Mobilee streams are high quality digital audio and the content they provide is anything from MP3 files to news, sports events and live concerts!! All from the ease of your phone, and the content you can access is both offline and on.

Wireless media is as much the buzzword of today as peer-to-peer. Very few are doing it right, though. One other company to keep your eye on is HitHive, who always seems to be quietly ahead of the pack. HitHive partnered with Sprint to be the first US based music-mobile partnership with Sprint PCS My Musicsm.

As of November 27, they were already ahead of Mobilee and BuzzHits:

*CD (Star CD), the interactive music technology that allows consumers to easily identify and buy music as it's playing on local radio, announced today that it has partnered with HitHive, Inc. so consumers can easily store their entire digital music collections online in a copyright-respectful manner.

*CD was already doing some of what BuzzHits and Mobilee are doing. By partnering with HitHive, their users can access their music from the *CD Music Center which offers a storage locker for purchased music. If you buy the album featuring the song you heard FROM *CD, you can upload that CD via your PC and have a digital conversion to access at your computer or download back into a portable MP3 player

"The degree to which *CD and HitHive complement each other's services to set the new standard in listening to, buying and managing digital music makes this an ideal partnership," says Humphrey Chen, co-CEO & vice president, Product Development, of ConneXus Corporation, which invented, developed and patented the *CD service. "As HitHive focuses on putting users in charge of their own digital music, *CD leverages listening to the radio, especially in a mobile environment, taking it from the realm of the passive into that of an active activity."

This same song recognition technology that *CD brings to the HitHive partnership offers the same opportunities to identify and purchase terrestrial broadcasts via the Sprint PCS wireless phone service with a local number. The technology is also functional in 33 markets for wireless-enabled Palm Pilots, two-way pagers/e-mail, the Internet ( and wireless Web devices, including WAP phones (
