There are several aspects of digital audio that have to be addressed when you talk about quality sound. The way you would input it, the way you would manipulate it, tweak it to make it better, and how you would output it.
This Series of tutorials will describe how to configure the settings for digital audio by using the tools provided in the control panel. The control panel contains many of the important controls for your computer in one easy accessible place. Many of these functions, especially sound functions, can be accessed through other ways, however.
Step 1: About Digital Sounds
Digital Sounds are usually WAV, or Midi sound files, that play a tone or short song when specific tasks are performed on Windows.
Step 2: Why we use sounds on Windows
Using sounds on Windows helps us keep track of certain tasks we are doing. It also makes using the computer a little more interesting by bring some life to it.
Step 3: Default Sounds
Windows has set up the default window sounds that will play when certain tasks are performed. These are already set up when Windows is installed
Step 4: Why change sounds?
Everyone has their own personality and tastes. Some people might like to hear different sounds than the default sounds that are provided. So Microsoft has provided a configuration option for changing sounds to your preference.
