Oh, if only L7 had managed to live up to the potential that 1990's Smell the
Magic had promised. Unfortunately, the band seems to have been caught in
this wicked downhill spiral since then, taking the absolute worse track from
each new release and building a new album around it. Slap-Happy contains
lots of bad rap, cheesy guitar riffs and lo-fi psychedelia to make this
their stinkiest album yet-fans of these tampon-slinging, male-bashing,
genital-flashing former champions of the grrl movement will not be pleased.
Some bands just don't know when to quit.
