Malkum & Chris - Walk On Bukcatoon
Artist: Malkum & Chris (www.malkumandchris.com)
Title: Walk On
Label: Bukcatoon
Genre: Blues-Folk
Malkum Gibson and Chris Kleeman got the blues. And when I say they got it, I mean they really have it. They are veterans that have played with some of the best in the business. And some where along that road… they just got it.
Gibson plays that soulful get down to the nitty gritty harp, while his partner Kleeman strums the six string like he was born with it in his hand in some field in the Mississippi Delta. Umm, yes sir, this is da blues. And it’s a foot stompin’ party all they way through this entire CD.
This music is lighthearted and loads of fun. You can tell these two gents are having the time of their lives playing and singing to their hearts content.
I loved it, and so will you. You like to have a good time? Don’t take life so seriously, and give this disc a spin. I guarantee you will have a change of attitude in no time flat, and you will be ready grab your best girl, or your wife (or maybe not), and go to the nearest juke joint and cut a rug.
This is the folk-blues, straight up with no chaser.
