If you wanted to go to the Future of Music Coalition Policy Summit on
January 7-8 at Georgetown University, but missed it, you're still OK. The
summit focused on issues involved in music licensing, Internet distribution,
and how radio stations and consumers can get more active, according FOMC
And it's the subject of the first commercial MPEG-4 multicast, viewable on
the new MPEG-4 video channel at http://www.on-the-i.tv beginning March 1.
Multicast Technologies videotaped the coalition's meeting for broadband
distribution and as Multicast co-founder and ceo Marshall Eubanks put it,
"This MPEG-4 channel opens a revenue source for ISPs by making purchasing by
the viewer easy. MPEG-4 also provides clear, DVD quality video."
