WARP Radio streamed more hours than any other streaming radio network during
the week of February 18, says the MeasureCast Streaming Audience Measurement
Service, with JazzFM also finishing the week as the leading Webcaster.
With 482,699 hours of music, Radio Free Virgin was both Number Three and the
leading Internet-only/digital music network, says MeasureCast.
Most (78%) listening occurred during traditional work hours - 5 am and 5 pm
Pacific and 12% of the week's Internet radio listening took place over the
weekend - up 2% over the weekend before. The peak listening day was Friday,
February 22, with 19% of all listening occurring then. SOme 28% of Net radio
listeners were between the ages of 25 and 34; 57% were younger than 35, 29%
were younger than 25; and, 6% were older than 55, says MeasureCast, adding
that only 32% of Web radio listeners were women.
The countries with the largest number of Net radio listeners included
Canada, Japan, Mexico, the UK and the US.
