'They' are advertisers and the reason they have you lined up is: 90% of
married women are primary shoppers for the household - at least, that's what
an Interep study tagged "All About Women/ Demographic, Spending and Media
The report says 86% of women, and 90% of married women, classify themselves
as the "primary shoppers" for the household. And they're likely to shop more
frequently than male consumers, "and to exert influence on virtually all
categories of household purchases."
