Paul Reddick + the Sidemen - Rattlebag NorthernBlues Music
Artist: Paul Reddick + the Sidemen (www.thesidemen.com)
Title: Rattlebag
Label: NorthernBlues Music
Hard Blues for Modern
Times is how this music has been described, and I couldn't agree more.
Paul Reddick and The Sidemen deliver this rootsy and raw blues like
nothing I could have imagined. The music has a strong folk appeal and
portrays the true essence of the blues. The down to earth soul and powerful
musical vibes provide the backbone to this amazing music. The honest
and raunchy blues vocals of Paul Reddick gives the album that last ingredient
to make a blues cocktail that will knock any blues fan for a loop. The
music has a strong live feeling to it. I'm not sure if it is a live
recording, but the raw feeling and the intensity gives the music a presence
that I haven't heard in a long time. If you like the blues, and I mean
really like the blues, this is definitely an album that you should get
a hold of. I was blown away by what I heard. The fact that the music
just feels so pure and deep rooted made me take a second listen. After
that, there's a whole world of beauty behind what you'll find on this
album. This is definitely a keeper.
