'A Little Space' Conquers the Large World of Rhythm & Jazz
Einstein admits that a lot of good stuff can be crammed in just A Little Space.
Producer/writer Big Al agrees, and has eagerly, easily proved the theory true. He's got the
John Lennon Songwriting Award to prove it.
Funk/jazz group A Little Space is the godchild of bass player Alan Gruskoff, aka Big Al, the
multi-talented music maestro and composer of the Lennon-award-winning "Yes I Would."
This incredible composition won in the Latin/Jazz Instrumental category, and now shows up
with 13 other tunes on A Little Space's new self-titled cd.

This spicy hour of cool smooth jazz and alternating funky grooves divides itself between 9
cuts of vocals and the last 5 tracks of instrumentals, where primed electric guitars, faultless
sax and strong night bass glows with a tuneful electricity that will vibrate the hearts of Sting,
Steely Dan and Al Jarreau without even a second play.
With just a few exceptions, all you hear comes from Big Al's able skills. Not just a fantastic
bass player, Al blends his midi, acoustic guitar and nearly all other instruments like a one-
man Prince unit, but with far greater accessibility and heart.
He'll bring some tight electric guitars in to lead, or a sax to melt down the mood sometimes -
but he's also got a secret weapon. Vocalist Terrell Moran.

Moran brings a patch of class to the first 8 tracks, transforming A Little Space into a tender
soul sound. He's got softness and
compassion easing out of every graceful performance, making this new disc into a brilliant
collaboration between music maker and performing artist.
If ever a debut album deserved lengthy airplay to combat the over-indulgence of loud
alternative rock, this is the title that needs to be prescribed. It coats, soothes, relieves. And it
activates the brain and feet both.
A Little Space is based in Los Angeles, California where they perform, as well as launching
out great live sets all over southern California, and Las Vegas. A showman's band, with the
relaxed demeanor of a small club sound. No wonder people are beginning to talk.

Number 1 in Jazz-Fusion
Number 1 in Jazz-Vocal
Number 1 in Jazz-Latin
Number 1 in Soul
Only the fittest survive nature. But only the best music beats its way up to #1 on mp3.com.
To do that 4 times without major label backing is - almost unheard of!
The secret? You gotta conquer the globe. 40% of ALS's website traffic comes from outside
the US. Their first online cd sale was to a man in the Netherlands. The Euro and Asian
markets love ALS's sound as much as Americans do.
It's simple to hear why. Fit your groove like a glove - to your own fingerprints, not someone
else's. Then shake your bass for all it's worth. A Little Space's bass is worth a lot.
