A house in Earl Shilton, near Leicester, in the UK was raided and searched
on September 27 and thousands of pounds worth of CDs, computers and CD
copying equipment confiscated, says the Leicestershire County Council
Trading Standards Office.
It alleges an illegal Net-based CD copying business was being run from the
premises, adding, "Investigations are now underway and it is anticipated a
defendant will be interviewed in due course. She could face charges under
the Copyright, Designs & Patents Act (1988), the Trade Marks Act (1994) and
the Trade Descriptions Act (1968)."
