Silent Kids bring you a classic Brit-Pop/Psychedelic rock style that contains a bit of a modern twist. The music is quite infectious, but takes a little time to get use to. This may be because it's not something that one hears all that often anymore. The unique qualities of this music are very well flavored mixtures of old and new with the addition of some distorted guitar work and keyboard sounds that simply weren't available back in the day. This certainly gives the music a new light to be admired upon.
The lyrics are very well written, and the musicianship fits very nicely with the vocals. The way the vocals and music were recorded and the effects used, give off a hypnotic feeling or vibe that is unmistakable. Silent Kids is definitely a band worth checking into if you dig that old psychedelic pop groove of the early days, but wonder what it would sound like with a modern twist.
